This home was built as a spec. home for a client. The design requirements from the owner was to build a 1200 sf home which was to be net zero, to have a first-floor master suite and to be accessible with no stairs on both exterior entrances. To achieve this, the first floor deck was recessed into the foundation and doors widened. The first floor master bath has a curbless shower for aging in place or accessibility, and generous space. Additionally, instead of a basement, a crawlspace with storage was built in exchange for greater square footage above grade for additional storage and a bonus room, with the mechanicals and laundry room on the second floor.
